If the humidity isn't set to "sauna", it's incredibly windy. For example, if the temperature is reasonable, it will be overcast and raining on and off all day. There's always something annoying going on. There's no such thing as a truly nice day here. If you're an "indoor person" you'll love Western Pennsylvania. Scranton is overall the saddest place I've ever been. Paying ridiculously high taxes seems a treat compared to the living hell of the PA weatherscape.īritally sticky heat all summer, snow ice and cold all winter and no redeeming spring or fall patterns. There are very few natural lakes in the entire state, and the people are not Iowa nice they are the same miserable losers you will find anywhere else in this decaying country. In addition there in NOTHING to do in Iowa. I lived in Traverse City, Michigan for eight years and can honestly tell you that the winters there are much more pleasant. It's hotter and more humid than Florida in the summer and although the snow is minimal in the winter, the icy cold wind never stops in the winter. Masks have never been mandatory and Iowa was never locked down. I gave up having a pool pass because it rains every weekend. If it's even slightly warm, it's gray and rainy. The fact that people still live daily lives there just baffles me. Oh, and Dayton is such an ugly and depressing city, for sure. And Ohio is even worse than New Jersey! The weather in Sandusky during the summer is alright, but the rest of the state. Ohio and New Jersey are two candidates for "US States With The Worst Weather". So WHY do people STILL flock to live here!? As soon as my responsibilities are done here, I'M OUT! And I can't wait! Ohio sucks! But oh the humidity! It literally SMACKS you in the face when you walk outside! It's like hitting a brick wall of sticky hot wet miserableness! You can't breathe EVER and though the temp might say it's 89 degrees the "real feel" is always at a 100 and the humidity at 90%! It's absolutely unbearable to be outside. It never snows anymore and if it does it's more icy which only creates hell for road conditions. We have maybe 2 weeks (total) of what you'd call real cold temperatures and the rest is usually in the 40s or 50s. I must say we have no winter anymore also (and never a fall). Ohio is the 34th largest by area, the 7th most populous, and the 10th most densely populated of the 50 United States.Īs I agree that OH weather sucks I have to point out that not enough emphasis was placed on the damned HUMIDITY! This wretched state is humid ALL the time!
